Mid Hudson News: Meals on Wheels (MOW) of Greater Newburgh is hosting its fourth charity golf tournament, “Take a Swing at Hunger,” on Monday, July 22 at the beautiful Powelton Club in Newburgh. All proceeds benefit MOW, whose volunteers deliver hot, nutritious meals to elderly and disabled people in New Windsor and the City and Town of Newburgh. Tournament Director and MOW Board Member Joe Dirago said, “our tournament goal is to raise $14,000 to provide a free year-long supply of meals for our neediest clients.” The organization is seeking tax-deductible donations to sponsor the event. Corporate and individual donations are welcomed and will be recognized in the event program.
